Middle East Trip 2003: Syria | Lebanon | Jordan | Palestine The Palestinian-Israeli conflict Travelogue
Aleppo
The city of Aleppo, in the north os Syria, very near from the border with Turkey, seems a very different place, with spots like the Citadel, the mosque and the souq, smaller than their counterparts in Damascus, but equally intersting. It rivals with Damascus in being the oldest inhabited town int the world. Here, you can find historical places and neighborhoods carefuly kept, and an excelent and extensive gastronomic offer with the best restaurants and hotels in Syria, with very affordable prices.
