Next to have a brief breakfast in the hotel, we went in a group of 8 people to the tour to Krak of the Chavaliers. The group was formed by people who spook french and there wasn't communication with them during the tour. The vehicle was new and confortable. At first time we visited the city and the castle of Misyaf. The ticket id only 5 SYP with the student identification, but it wasn't worth. After a short visit, we went through a tortuous road that passed near some villages to the principla attraction of the day, the castle of Krak of the Chavaliers, authentic bastion of the Crusaders times.
The status of conservation isn't the best, but the dimensions and the structure of the castle made the visit spent two hours seeing stores, towers, courtyard and hoats. The ticket, with the student identification, is 20 SYP each one.
Around 3 in the afternoon we returned to Hama, with just time to visit the norias and the Clock Tower, very near of the hotel Cairo when we are lodged. Before to go to Aleppo, we read and sent some emails with a computer available in the hotel.
The bus that goes to Aleppo, comes from Damascus and pass through Hama about 17:00, but they can't corfirm us if there are free seats until the last moment.
Just in case, we tried to deal with some taxi drivers the itinerary, but the prices weren't less than 1000 SYP, so we decide to wait to the bus. Our waiting gave us good news, and the bus had only two free seats. The trip was very short and pleasant. A employee shared out water and sweets. the always present traditional music also came with us, all only for 65 SYP. We decided to used since now in the trips that was allowed.
When we arrived to Aleppo, again the taxi drivers rushing at us, and in a minute we were in the way to the Beit Al-Wakil hotel. Even being a little expensive (100$) the hotel is one of the best in the city. We decide to go to the hotel in order to compensate the inconveniences in other former hotels. When we went, a little deception, the hotel is full. The recepcionst, kind without limits, managed for us anothe room in a nearly hotel, the Mandaloun, according to he said, no so good like Beita Al-Wakil, but for us was like a palace. The hotel is nice and had a room with some windows to the inner court with a fountain. Clearly, it has a "Old House" style. By 70$ it's perfect.
At night, we returned to Beit Al-Wakil restaurant, one of the best of the city. We tasted the local speciality Cherry Kebabs, that was absolutly delicious. The bill was 600 SYP, a bargain price. What a pity don't have a room in this old palace.
