Middle East Trip 2003: Syria | Lebanon | Jordan | Palestine The Palestinian-Israeli conflict Travelogue
Wadi Rum
In the south of Petra, very close to the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aquaba, the desert of Wadi Rum extends, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful in the world. Its golden sand and molded red mountains have been the scenary of the adventures of people like T.E. Lawrence and a lot of Hollywood movies. The only way to explore this impresive place is in a 4x4 vehicle, drove by a beduin guide. All the hassle of the trip (heat, flies, etc) is worth just to see the beautiful views.
